SEVR – Titanium 1.75 Broadhead // Petersen’s Bowhunting Review —

Christian Berg, of Petersen’s Bowhunting, posted a video reviewing the new SEVR Titanium 1.75 broadhead.  Berg starts by explaining that no matter what you’re hunting or where you’re hunting it, you need a good broadhead on the end of your arrows.

“Bowhunters all want maximum cutting diameter, but they also want maximum penetration,” Berg said.  “SEVR has a new head called the Titanium 1.75, and they designed this baby to give you the best of both worlds…a 1.75-inch cutting diameter and great penetration.”

Berg discusses the specifications of the new SEVR Titanium 1.75, and what the features are that make it a quality broadhead.

“This is a mechanical broadhead that has a really compact profile in flight, with blades that sit inside the one-piece titanium ferrule during flight,” Berg said.  “But when you hit the target you’ve got these little wings that cause the blades to fully deploy.”

Discussing the Lock-And-Pivot feature, Berg explains: “There are tabs on the back of each blade that lock in place, so as your arrow is going through that animal, if you hit a rib or another bone, those blades can just pivot back-and-forth, further enhancing penetration and allowing your arrow to find its way around obstacles.”

Berg also touches on another feature that SEVR offers – Stretch-Cut: “The way that those tabs perform; when they hit the animal, they put pressure on the hide, so you get holes that are even wider than that 1.75″ cutting diameter (stretch cut).”

Berg goes on to praise the SEVR business model: “SEVR is a direct-to-consumer company…you go to the SEVR website, you order your broadheads, you go to your mailbox a few days later, and you’ve got your SEVR box,” Berg said.  “You can order one, you can order 100, or anywhere in between.”

Berg concludes by explaining that SEVR customers receive extra rubber o-rings, a broadhead wrench, and an allen wrench with every purchase. for practice lock

“[The Allen Wrench is useful because] if you lock these into practice mode, you can shoot all summer with your broadheads, and then take that practice lock screw out when you’re ready to go hunting,” Berg said.  “So you don’t have to worry about broadhead tuning.”
